Founded in 2017, we are a nonprofit organization committed to protecting the natural heritage of the Republic of Suriname. While our primary focus is on the country’s rich and unique fauna, our efforts extend to the broader protection of nature as a whole. Through research, education, collaboration, community engagement and sustainable initiatives, we actively contribute to the conservation of Suriname’s extraordinary biodiversity, considering improvement of human livelihood.

Our foundation supports inventories, provides expert advice, develops educational materials, and works closely with local communities, governments, and partner organizations. Our team brings together a wonderful blend of young and senior professionals, combining fresh ideas with deep experience.
